Bobby Gunn to Defend WBC
USNBC Cruiserweight Title Vs Brad Gregory

NJ, January 23, 2009 – On February 25th Bobby “The Celtic Warrior” Gunn
20-3-1 (17 KO’s) will attempt to get one step closer to fighting for the WBC
world championship. Gunn will be making the first defense of his WBC USNBC
Cruiserweight crown against veteran Brad Gregory 11-2 (9 KO’s). The
Gunn-Gregory bout will headline “Fight Knight” which is co-promoted by
Dignity and FelKO Promotions. The fight will be staged at the beautiful
Medieval Times, which is located in Lyndhurst , New Jersey .
Gregory, a Kansas native, will be moving down
in weight for the title opportunity. His last five fights have been at
heavyweight including both of his losses, which came to former champion
Bruce Seldon and highly regarded knockout artist Bermane Stiverne. Gunn
knows the importance of this fight as a higher ranking is in sight with a
victory.
“I feel great and am working hard in camp” said
Gunn, who stopped Shelby Gross in a highly anticipated bout to win the belt.
“I will be fully prepared to go war. I have a great team around me and am
training with (Light Heavyweight Contender) Shaun George, (undefeated
Heavyweight) Faruq Saleem and (former Junior Welterweight Champion) Vivian
Harris” said Gunn, who has won a total of six Cruiserweight titles.
Gunn, who has battled all across America as
well as in Mexico and Wales , is excited about fighting in his home state of
New Jersey for just the second time in his professional career. “It’s great
to be fighting in the Garden State , where some of the best fight fans in
the world come from”, said the charismatic Canadian. “My friend and longtime
sparring partner Kyle White will be featured on the undercard as well. My
ultimate goal is to join my friend Kendall Holt as a current World Champion
from New Jersey
