TYNER VS. GORGES FOR NABA-US WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
DONOFRIO BOXING’S “WAR OF 1812 – THE REMATCH” WILL BE FOR NATIONAL TITLE LANARDO “PAIN SERVER” TYNER VS. “GORGEOUS” ANDRE GORGES AT THE PALACE OF AUBURN HILLS ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 30, 2010
The stakes have just been raised for the main event of the Donofrio Boxing, in
association with Jackie Kallen, professional boxing event being called the “WAR OF 1812 – THE REMATCH” at The Palace of Auburn Hills on Saturday, October 30.
Not only will Detroit’s Lanardo “Pain Server” Tyner (24-3-1, 15 KOs) and Windsor, Ontario, Canada’s Andre “Gorgeous” Gorges (9-1, 6 KOs) represent their countries in the ring to “break the tie” and finally determine the winner of the war of 1812,
but now they will also battle for the NABA-US Welterweight Championship.
“Since there is so much on the line between the two countries, I thought it would be only proper for the winner to have a prestigious title belt to raise at the end of it,” said event promoter Joseph Donofrio. “This is going to be a sensational
cross-border battle and this only makes the tension that much higher.”
