On October 7, 2011 CES-Classic Entertainment & Sports, Inc., presented Rhode Warriors at the Twin River Event Center in Lincoln, Rhode Island. The main event featured Providence, Rhode Island fan favorite Vladine Biosse in an 8 round bout against Montgomery, Alabama John Mackey.
Prior to the actual fight, Biosse brought his very own cheering squad. You could hear them chatting words of encouragement.
Round 1: Both Biosse and Mackey are feeling each other out. Not to many punches thrown. Round 2: Biosse lifts Mackey off of his feet and flipped him over his back. Something I believed I have seen in the WWE. Not too much action in this round. Round 3: Biosse landed some great combination punches in the beginning of the round. During the rest of the round both opponents were exchanging punches. Round 7: Mackey ended up over Biosse’s back and again almost was flipped over [Is this WWE or Boxing?] During the entire fight both Biosse and Mackey exchanged blows. The judges scored the fight 77-75 Biosse; 76-76 and 76-76 resulting in a majority draw.
Vladine Biosse record now stands at 11-1-1 and John Mackey ‘s record is 13-6-3.
I had a chance to chat with Biosse after the fight. He mentioned to me that early in the rounds he was having a problem with his left pec.

4 Round Super Middleweights: Benny “The Boss” Costantino vs. Odias Dumezil. Winner Costantino by UD. Judges scored it 39-37.
6 Round Super Middleweights: Richard Starnino vs Reynaldo Rodriguez. Winner Rodriguez by TKO 1 min, 7 seconds into Round 3. What an upset this was. Starnino clearly was winning this bout until the referee stopped the bout.
6 Round Jr. Middleweights: Rahman Yusubov vs Chris Chatman. Winner by TKO Chatman.
4 Round Light Heavyweights: Alex Amparo vs Nicholas Lavin. Winner by MD Amparo. Judges scored it 38-38, 38-37 and 39-37.
6 Round Welterweights: Johnathan Vazquez vs Bryan Abraham. Winner Abraham by TKO in round 3.
4 Round Light Heavyweights: Kevin Cobbs vs. Steven Chadwick. Winner Cobbs by MD. Judges scored it 38-38, 39-37 and 39-37.
4 Round Bantamweight Shelito Vincent vs. Karen Dulin. Winner Vincent by UD.
4 Round Middleweights: Thomas Falowo vs. Borngod Washington. Winner Falowo by UD 40-36.
4 Round Lightweights: Agustine Mauras vs. Christian Rivera. Winner Mauras 2 minutes 31 seconds in round 2.
As in September, I once again ran out of gas in the 10th & 11th championship rounds of October & November with this column, but I recovered to complete them and will unleash a few more flurries to close out the 12th and final round.
In the first week of October, Hassan N’Dam won a UD over Curtis Stevens in an eliminator for the right to challenge Jermaine Taylor who defeated aging Sam Soliman to regain the IBF Middleweight title. How Taylor even earned this title shot is another story altogether, but it is all irrelevant as he is now the champion. However he will not have too much time to savor his victory as he has assault and battery charges pending against him and an upcoming court fight that may turn out to be the toughest fight of his life, just when things started to look up for him in boxing, we wish him luck.
