Aptly named Sala de Armas in Mexico City will host a true war this Saturday night between Mexico and Thailand when determined WBC champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai faces ambitious mandatory challenger Carlos Cuadras.
Srisaket conquered the WBC super flyweight title on May 3rd 2013 by KO over Japan’s Yota Sato, He’s now ready to face this onslaught challenge to come in Mexico. During the press conference the champion promised that he will defeat Cuadras by KO and WILL return to Thailand with the belt.
Challenger Cuadras countered by saying that this is the fight of his life and he certainly won’t waste the chance to win the green and gold belt.
“I’m ready to face the champion. He hits hard but I also have a powerful punch and he will suffer when I KO him!”
The President of the WBC Mauricio Sulaiman said that this will be a great and important fight that will entertain the Mexican people and peoples around the World.
The President named the judges of the fight: Cathy Leonard, Richard Flaherty and Mauro Di Fiore.
The supervisor will be Bob Yalen and the Referee is Jay Nady.
