On May 30, Manuel the “Diamond Boy” Charr will hit Moscow to face former World and Olympic Champion Alexander Povetkin in the Russian ring. The WBC International title will be on the line.
“I am very excited to have this great challenge, defeating him will again be my chance to qualify for the world title. The winner will take a top position in the WBC world rankings. And I’m sure that if I beat Povetkin in Moscow, then I will fulfill my destiny and become world champion, as I promised José Sulaiman “. Said Manuel Charr in an interview via WhatsApp.
Charr and Povetkin, know each other from long ago as they trained together earlier in the Sauerland-stall in Berlin.
However, both separated from Sauerland, and went their own way: Manuel Charr now has his own company: “Diamond Boy Promotion”, while Alexander Povetkin is under contract with Russian Oligarchen Andrey Ryabinsky.
Pepe Rodriguez: How do you feel about fighting in Moscow ?
Manuel Charr: I have no problem, I know Moscow, and Moscow knows me, so I accepted this fight with no doubt.
Charr and his coaching team ( Patrick Dobroschi and Clive salt ), know they have exactly one month to prepare.

As in September, I once again ran out of gas in the 10th & 11th championship rounds of October & November with this column, but I recovered to complete them and will unleash a few more flurries to close out the 12th and final round.
In the first week of October, Hassan N’Dam won a UD over Curtis Stevens in an eliminator for the right to challenge Jermaine Taylor who defeated aging Sam Soliman to regain the IBF Middleweight title. How Taylor even earned this title shot is another story altogether, but it is all irrelevant as he is now the champion. However he will not have too much time to savor his victory as he has assault and battery charges pending against him and an upcoming court fight that may turn out to be the toughest fight of his life, just when things started to look up for him in boxing, we wish him luck.
