Professional boxing returns to the Patapsco Sports Arena in Baltimore Maryland when local prospect Venroy July headlines a card named “UNITED NATIONS” on Saturday September 28, 2013.
USA #12 ranked Duke University trained Attorney and Cruiserweight Venroy “So Special” July (14-1-2, 6KO’s) also doubling as the promoter for this event steps up in class against rugged journey man Joell Godfrey (16-9-1, 6KO’s) who twice came up short for the WBC’s Fecarbox Cruiserweight and Continental Americas heavyweight titles, in what promises to be a competitive and entertaining fight.
Other talents on the undercard include the tough as nails Super Middleweight Jesse “The Beast” Nicklow (23-3-3, 8KO’s) out of Baltimore who returns to the ring after his 8th round 2011 loss to former undisputed middleweight champion Jermaine Taylor. Also featured on the undercard is rising Laurel based heavyweight Big Ticket Dwayne McRae (10-3-0, 6KO’s) fresh off his May 2013 “No Contest”, when he, the referee and his opponent all went down to the canvas after a tight clinch that would not be broken up at the 0:05 minute of the first round.
Door open at 7pm and tickets for the event can be purchased directly at Hardwork Promotions. There are also discounted tickets and General Admission of $20 for Public Safety officials, and $10 General Admission for the Bring Your Boys (BYB) initiative. Discounted tickets must be purchased in person and ID is required.
After the event Hardwork Promotions plans an exclusive after party at Baltimore’s Havana Club with a regular admission of $20 but only $10 if you had purchased a UNITED NATIONS fight ticket!
