On Wednesday, July 24, 2014, Shelly “Shelito” Vincent (9-0-0), her manager, Mary Del Pino Morgan and her friend hopped in Mary’s vehicle and drove all the way from Rhode Island on a boxing mission to call out Heather Hardy (6-0-0) who was scheduled to fight at the Roseland Ballroom just so Shelito could grab her attention. Hardy was victorious against Cassie Trost (1-1-1) and what preceded after her victory, well… Shelito is better to state the xyz’s of the outcome. I could only add “Mission Accomplished”. Here’s what Shelito had to say:
Pattee Mak: Tell me why Hardy as your next opponent?
Shelito: Well just for the simple fact it makes sense. It’s an easy fight to make. Her being local and myself. She undefeated, I’m undefeated. I mean my opponents do punch back. But still. I just wanna prove I can put the flame out. I don’t know about “the heat” all we saw was the smoke signals for help that had young moccasin’s concerned. The only heat I feel is the burn in my ass that she been duckin me an denied my last three fights we’ve tried to make with her.
Pattee Mak: When Steve Farhood was interviewing Hardy and you were calling her out, why oh why didn’t you see if you could do a little bit of a face off and comments in the ring if all possible?
Shelito: I just wanted my presence known and for her to know I would break her down. She is more experienced then me but FAR from on my level. An her fans too know she AVOIDS me to the max. LOL she blocked me on twitter. I’d be embarrassed if all my wins was in that nature. She’d be called “Chill Factor” after me, she can’t, an will not be able to endure “my heat”. An I didn’t want to take away from her win. That was her moment. She won I just want the fight made. This will prove she scared a me, an duckin once, once again she swerves from “Shelito’s Way”.
Pattee Mak: It appeared via your video that, “She didn’t want any part of you” as you said. What were the fans reaction around you that heard your voice?
Shelito: Nothing I wore a vest with my name on the back. I sat there all night. An in the midst of her fans. They knew what I was going to do. No one said anything. But they do know now that she dodges me like a bullet. She know an her team that I am “the extinguisher” an she will need to eat ALL her “LUCKY CHARMS” that night. I’m Jack Frost that ass!!!
Pattee Mak: What would you like to say to Hardy?
Shelito: Back the 0’s up baby!!!!! You’ve fought nobody relevant (no disrespect to her or her opponents) but lets be real. Look at the numbers. Fight Nydia, she a beast. Or myself. #mightymeatball #minivinny. I respect Hardy she is a good fighter. But they’re building her up that’s it. I’m costar in your movie beautiful. I’m a be the monster that ate your 0. I’m be THE ONE. You takin a lickin messing with me. She sells heavy just as myself we could sell out an arena together. It a fight the fans an all want to see. Lets make em all happy. Would be a great TV fight also. I want to give em what they want. It USA mamma.
Pattee Mak: Besides at the Roseland Ballroom, what attempts have been made to contact Hardy to set up this glorious fight?
Shelito: LOL. I’ve made a few vid’s. Matter fact I’m slow it down an sing her my next one. Young moccasin-mighty meatball. Chalukapu records lmaoo.
Pattee Mak: Did you get any responses from her team?
Shelito: Lou [Dibella] said he’d make the fight. Guess it was televised. Lets meet in the middle. Listen HARDY boys it’s no mystery it will go SHELITOS WAY. Stop duckin an jivin.
Pattee Mak: So you wouldn’t meet her in her back yard and how many rounds?
Shelito: We meet in middle an keep it mutual that’s the “right” thing to do. She sells heavy, I sell heavy. She undefeated as myself. DO THE MATH people great fight for women’s boxing both sides, a the business. Jimmy an Lou would have to handle that part. Me an Lucky we just fight.
Pattee Mak: Now this is a fight that I would definitely want to see. I’m already getting excited for the fireworks.
Shelito: Yeah, everyone was coming up to me at fight tellin me I’m an amazing fighter an in the streets after. Hardy’s pretending she ain’t know who I was LOL after she tweeted me days before an responded but NYC knew me. The crowd was hoping the fight is made.
Pattee Mak: You were scheduled to fight this Sat, July 27, could this match up between the two of you be possible for your next fight? If so, how soon could we see you back in the ring?
Shelito: Yes I have a back injury. I’m healing well an hope to be back for September. That a chilly month tho, I’m sure shell be trying to hibernate. Like I said “She Don’t want not a part a me”.
Pattee Mak: Your facebook page is covered with Hardy call outs. Any Hardy supporters defending her?

As in September, I once again ran out of gas in the 10th & 11th championship rounds of October & November with this column, but I recovered to complete them and will unleash a few more flurries to close out the 12th and final round.
In the first week of October, Hassan N’Dam won a UD over Curtis Stevens in an eliminator for the right to challenge Jermaine Taylor who defeated aging Sam Soliman to regain the IBF Middleweight title. How Taylor even earned this title shot is another story altogether, but it is all irrelevant as he is now the champion. However he will not have too much time to savor his victory as he has assault and battery charges pending against him and an upcoming court fight that may turn out to be the toughest fight of his life, just when things started to look up for him in boxing, we wish him luck.
