Unbeaten American heavyweight Maurice ‘Freight Train’ Byarm, has called out British heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, and asked us to pass on the message! 

Byarm is not just taking a shot in the dark here, he as shared a ring with the Manchester man before! – And he wants to fight him again in 2012

The American lost to Fury in the unpaid ranks, in his fourth fight; In an Ireland vs USA international amateur tournament in Philadelphia, in 2005.

It is the only loss, amateur and professional, that Byarm as suffered. But it isn’t a defeat the Washington DC heavyweight as forgotten lightly, and now wants the chance to avenge that record blemish from his memory as soon as possible.

Southpaw Byarm, 29, is a hot prospect across the pond, he has a record of 13 wins, 9 KO’s, no losses, with one draw. – The ‘Freight Train’ is from boxing stock, his father was cruiserweight, Lionel ‘The Boiler’ Byarm, who was the debut opponent in 1984, for future undisputed heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield. – WATCH THAT FIGHT HERE.

“This year there is one person in particular that I do want to fight, and that is Tyson Fury over there in Britain”. said Byarm.

“He’s the only person I ever lost to in my whole career as an amateur or pro and that’s something that I would like to erase from my own personal memory.” he added.

Byarm, originally from Philadelphia; Is the current East Coast Heavyweight Champion and says he got into boxing after watching Vitali Klitschko fight Chris Byrd, in April 2000, proclaiming ‘he could beat both of them’.

We were asked by Michael Amakor of www.fightkings.com to talk about our 2011 end of Year British Boxing review and fighter’s awards, on their Radio station broadcast from America on Saturday night, that was when guest Byarm asked us to relay his message to Fury.
