Jason “Big Six” Estrada Scored an 8 Round UD.

Ringside by Pattee Mak – 12-9-2011

“Big Six Entertainment” presented “They’rrre Baaack” live professional boxing in West Warwick, Rhode Island. The 8 round main event was between Jason “Big Six” Estrada of Providence, Rhode Island and Joseph Rabotte of Atlanta, Georgia.

Throughout the rounds Estrada was in control of the match coming forward and working Rabotte’s midsection. During the 2nd Round Rabotte’s nose was broken and bleeding. Rabotte was trying to outbox Estrada but Estrada kept coming forward. In Round 7 Rabotte was dropped with a strong right hand to the midsection. In the reminder of the 2 rounds, Estrada kept working the midsection of Rabotte. In the end it came down to the judges scorecards of 80-71, 80-71 and 80-72. In favor of Estrada.

Estrada increases his record to 17-4-0 and Rabotte decreases his record to 11-19-1.

The last time Estrada fought in his home state of Rhode Island was back in 2008.

Bobby Smead was originally scheduled to work Rabotte’s corner but due to an emergency Jose “YAYO” Ortiz filled in along with Ray Oliveira.

Previous to the fight I communicated with Estrada and Rabotte. I asked Estrada how he’s feeling and does he believe he will be victorious. Estrada stated “Anxious and ready to go. I’m extremely confident that at the end of the night, my hand will be raised.”

When I spoke to Rabotte I asked him if he’s prepared mentally and physically for this fight? He stated “Most people with my record would half a** this fight but I’m still starving and I will fight like it. I have every intention of leaving the ring with my hand raised in victory”.
