World title aspirant Braimah Kamoko better known as Bukom Banku is once again the headliner when Golden Concepts Promotions syndicate bring another big night of fight action to Ghana this coming Saturday June 25.

The night dubbed ‘No Turning Back’ features the enigmatic yet undefeated Bukom Banku, 21-0 (16 KOs), against Namibian Vikapita Meroro, 20-2 (9KOs), for the vacant WBO Africa Light heavyweight title. Currently rated 2nd in the WBO world ratings, victory over Meroro is expected to push the Ghanaian who also holds the lowly regarded World Professional Boxing Federation (WPBF) belt, for a crack at the WBO light heavyweight title currently held by Welshman Nathan Cleverly.

With Ghana President John Atta Mills expected to be the Special Guest of Honour at the plush Accra International Conference Centre, Bukom Banku says fighting in front of the country’s number one citizen will be another motivation and inspiration to
succeed in addition to having prepared extensively for the big fight.

“I have trained very well and my determination to be a world champion means that Vikapita will fall so that I will open the way and go for the world title. If I see my President, then the condition and the spirit will all be well. It’s a win on Saturday,” Bukom Banku told SportsInGhana.com.

According to Mike Tetteh, CEO of Golden Mike Proncomotions, the night has been dubbed ‘No Turning Back’ because of the opportunities that are on offer for not only Bukom Banku but indeed many of the other boxers on the 8-bout fight menu.

“There certainly is no turning back for our boxers because we see June 25 as a springboard for success, no returning back from this fight because all of them a win will push them for big opportunities and big paydays so it’s now or never. Fight
fans should come in their numbers because it will be non-stop action,” Mr.Tetteh stated.

Joshua Okine popularly called Bukom Tsatsu, 22-4-1 (14 KOs), is another world title hopeful on the cards as he battles Sikhulule Sidzumo of South Africa 18-3-4 (12 KOs), for the IBF Intercontinental Welterweight belt whilst WBO Africa Super Featherweight champion Emmanuel Tagoe, 17-1 (8 KOs), faces Oscar Bravo, 18-2 (8 KOs), who will be coming all the way from Chile for the IBF Intercontinental Super featherweight crown.

Other fights features Sam Amoako against Nigeria’s Kareem Ariyo in an international Lightweight contest, Ghana’s Patrick Allotey versus Jamiru Tyson of Nigeria in an international Welterweight bout and a national Super Lightweight championship between Isaac Aryee and Benjamin Ashley.

Also on the ‘No Turning Back’ bill is a Light heavyweight contest between Michael Gbenga and Prince Bootuo as well as a super lightweight fight featuring hot prospect Frederick Lawson against Kofi Manu.

The unbeaten Braimah Kamoko is appealing to his fans and Ghanaians to remember him in their prayers as he continues to fight in their honour.

“I plead with Ghanaians to continue to pray for me because they know we are in this together. When I win the world title, it will be for my fans so I need all the support I can get and we will soon all celebrate big,” the enigmatic Bukom Banku said.
