Patrick “The Machine” Majewski

Q.        Your sixteenth fight is only a few weeks away. Can you share with me who your trainer is and how you are preparing for this fight?

A.        For six years my trainer is Bill Johnson.  We are training at the Atlantic City PAL every evening Monday thru Friday doing boxing training.  Mornings I run on Ocean City Boardwalk or I do exercises with Sean Sutton my condition trainer.

Q.        Your opponent has not yet been announced.  Is this difficult for you to train not knowing whom you will be fighting?

A.        Not really.  Every fight is important to me and I train like it’s for a championship fight.  So I’ll be ready for sure to defend my undefeated record.

Q.        You have won all of your fights thus far.  Which of your fights do you consider the toughest fight?

A.        All of my fights were not easy but fights where I had to really push to win was with Latif Mundy and also my last fight with Eddie Caminero.

Q.        What have you done differently since your first fight against Terry Peacock through the present?

A.        Many things.  Every fight was a good experience.  I made a lot of mistakes and I have to learn from it.  So after each fight we go back in the gym and train to improve.   Also after some time I started training with Sean Sutton, a strength and condition trainer. I call him Gorilla.   I started to understand that if you want to be good in anything you have to give everything.

Q.        Ten out of your fifteen fights have been by knockout.  Do you have a secret you wish to share or is it all polish power?

A.        If you are looking for a knockout you’ll never find it.  Just relax, focus and keep boxing it will come.

Q.        You never fought a professional fight in Poland. Is this something that you hope to accomplish one day in your career?

A.        Yes it is my dream to fight in Poland one day and to fight in my City back home where all my friends and family would come to see me fight.

Q.        Going back to when it all started.  What titles did you win as an amateur and when did you start boxing?  Were you living in the United States or Poland?

A.        I worked out several times in boxing gyms back in Poland, but I never fought there.  Seriously my adventure with boxing started here in USA. I didn’t have to long of an amateur career, but in 2004 and 2005 I won the Philadelphia golden gloves tournament in novice class.  My amateur record was 12-2.

Q.        How did you get into boxing?

A.        All my life I love sports.  Back in Poland as a kid I was wrestling for 7 years.  I always liked to compete.  I tried boxing a bit back in Poland and after I came to USA I wanted to just stay in shape so I went to the gym where James “Rocky” McCray was doing boxing and fitness.  I fell in love with boxing training and routines.  Rocky talked me in to taking a shot in Philadelphia golden gloves tournament.  I did and I won this tournament.  I was so excited! After it I wanted to train more and harder and keep wining other fights.   That is just a wonderful feeling to raise my hands up in the ring after I win the fight.

Q.        Who would you like to ultimately fight in the future?

A.        I know I have long way to go in a short amount of time.  I’m still learning but my time to step up is coming soon.  To be the best, you have to beat the best.   So I want to fight whoever is the best out there!

Q.        Are you currently signed up with any promotion group?

A.        Since last year my career is in assistance with Global Boxing Promotion.   I’m so happy to be part of Global Boxing and Mariusz Kolodziej (head of Global Boxing). He is giving me great opportunity to accomplish my boxing dream and I want to thank Mariusz Kolodziej for his support.

Q.        Your advise to those who may be interested in becoming a boxer?

A.        If you want to train, train as hard as you can or don’t train at all.

Q.        In your native polish language, any comments to your fans?

A.        POLSKA GORA !!!! Rozwalimy wszystkie ringi z polskiej krwi jestesmy silni…..

Polish fans are great. If you show heart to fight in the ring they’ll give you strong support.  To all my fans here and back in Poland, thank you for your support.  Keep following my boxing career and I promise you many exited moments and many good fights.
