Chief Scribe FightKings.Com

Michael Amakor is an American boxing sports journalist who has served as the Chief Scribe for FightKings.Com since 2003.

He has attended fights at ring side given blow by blow commentary at championship level fights at some of the most prestigous venues in boxing including Madison Square Garden, Bally’s Atlantic City and in Washington DC.

He has also interviewed numerous world champions and various championship contenders. He is particularly focused on reporting about closet classics that do not kept broadcast by the major TV networks, and takes fans for an inside look into gym activities and preparation activities.

He has authored hundred of articles and short reports fighter reports, commentary, analysis and blow by blow commentary that have been vicariously read and extensively shared and posted on boxing websites over the years.

He also served as the Chief Host of FightKings Radio, a popular blog radio show that ran from 2001-2005. He also attended fights as a blow by blow reporter, served a co-host at ring side podcasts and streamed championship bouts and episodes exclusively on FightKings TV.

Mr. Amakor was a member of the Boxing Writers Association of American and in his spare time he enjoys watching old fights,  and indexing his massive VHS fight collection.
